A deuterium-induced phase transition has been discovered in a molecular crystal of tolane-d10 by powder X-ray diffraction and differential
scanning calorimetry experiments. The phase transition is of first-order.
DSC measurements on solid binary solutions of tolane-h10 and
tolane-d10 have shown that there is a critical point on the
temperature-composition phase diagram of this binary system.
