Synthetic Organic Chemistry − How to transform molecule −

The synthesis of materials is a basic process in the natural sciences. Chemical synthesis is crucial for the study of naturally occurring materials, which can only be obtained in trace quantities, or in the investigation of analogues that do not exist in nature. Synthesis is essential in the design of various compounds to realize new properties and functionalities.

Synthetic organic chemistry is a research field that involves the investigation of synthetic routes and development of novel methods (reactions) to synthesize target organic compounds. The development of efficient synthetic reactions is directly related to the creation of new organic materials. This leads to the emergence of many opportunities in new areas of chemistry. From this perspective, our group pursues the investigation of novel organic synthetic reactions laying emphasis on the development of basic, efficient, and practical reactions.
